When we saw David at Jacqui's 60th party he was there beer in hand and a large smile on his face. When asked about his cancer he replied "it is what it is" and that was David. He 'was what he was' - a straightforward, no nonsense man and a very brave one. He was surrounded by loving fiends and family from whom he drew great strength, but sadly lost his battle. He deserved a longer life and all his family here in Australia grieve his loss.
